Q: What is a thespian?
A: A Thespian is an actor or someone who actively participates in Theatre.
Q: How do I become a thespian?
A: To become a Thespian you must accumulate 10 points. Points are received by participating in shows and other Thespian activities such as Trick-or-Canning or Caroling for Cans.
Q: Do I have to be inducted as a thespian in order to participate in thespian events and activities?
A: Absolutely not! Everyone is welcome to participate in thespian events including the meetings, shows, homecoming parade,
and many more. You can only be inducted as a thespian if you are involved. So come to the meetings! Audition for shows! And make sure you check the call board or the website to hear about upcoming opportunities.
Q: Where do I find out about thespian events and opportunities?
A: Visit the website if ever you are curious about upcoming events and opportunities. Here you can see a calendar of thespian events as well as a blog that will have all kinds of thespian related news and information. Also, make sure you check the callboard outside of the Black Box (room G53). Information about meetings, auditions, rehearsals, and other thespian gatherings are always posted there, so while you're walking to your lit class make sure you check and see what's new!
If you still have questions about thespian events throughout the year, contact one of the officers! Ask them your questions and
they will have all of the answers. You can also send us an email. [email protected]
Q: How can I become a thespian officer?
A: Juniors have the opportunity to run for thespian office in the spring. You do not need a certain amount of points to
run, however you must be an inducted thespian. All members and soon-to-be members are able to vote in the elections and the results are announced at our annual Thespian Banquet. Make sure you attend the meetings for more information.
